uReveal, Inc. is pleased to announce that Michael Wood, a long-time senior executive in key federal agencies, has joined the company’s Advisory Board. Mr. Wood, who is now a private consultant in IT management, most recently served as Executive Director of the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, a federal agency tasked with monitoring spending under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. In this capacity, Mr. Wood oversaw efforts to ensure that taxpayer money was being properly spent and effectively used, as well as to uncover and report potential waste, fraud and abuse.

Prior to his position with the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, Mr. Wood worked for 25 years as an environmental manager for the Environmental Protection Agency and for 7 years as the Chief of Staff to the Inspector General for the Department of the Interior.

“I am very honored to be advising an outstanding company like uReveal,” said Mr. Wood. “During my time at the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, uReveal filled critical gaps in our analytic capabilities. I was very impressed with uReveal’s ability to explore large amounts of unstructured data.”

Mr. Wood joins a company that is pioneering efforts to assist government agencies and private businesses in areas such as behavior analytics, fraud detection, regulatory compliance and e-discovery.

“Our ultimate goal is to serve the public good, which ranges from protecting American citizens from security threats to protecting American taxpayers from financial fraud and mismanagement,” said uReveal Chairman Charles Clarkson. “Michael Wood brings critical experience and understanding to this important effort.”
